Terms of use

Effective date: 19 October 2026 · Last updated: 19 October 2026

These terms apply to the Prysly browser extension, the Prysly server it talks to (the "service") and this website, prysly.com (together, "Prysly"). Prysly is provided by Luciatech (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2019/548229/07) of Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa ("we", "us"). By installing the extension or using the website you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Prysly, and remove the extension.

1. What Prysly does

Prysly shows information about products on 35 South African store websites: a verdict on whether the price is a real deal, a normal price or comes with an inflated "was" price, the product's recent price history, and the same product at other supported stores where it costs less in total including delivery. Prysly is free. It is an information tool: we do not sell products, take orders or handle payments, and we are not a party to any purchase you make from a store.

2. Prices come from third-party stores

No warranty on prices. We do not guarantee that any price, verdict, delivery fee, match or stock status is accurate, complete or current. Always check the price, product and delivery cost on the store's own website before you buy. The store's own price and terms apply to your purchase.

3. Stores and links

Prysly is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of the stores it works on. Store names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the stores. Links in the Prysly card take you to the store's website, which has its own terms and privacy policy; we are not responsible for third-party websites. Some links are affiliate links, explained in our affiliate disclosure.

4. Acceptable use

You may use Prysly for your own, personal, non-commercial shopping. You must not:

We may limit, block or stop access to the service for anyone who breaks these rules, without notice. Found a security issue? Please tell us at privacy@prysly.co.za before you share it publicly.

5. Intellectual property

The Prysly name, logo, extension, website, design and the price-history database are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We give you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the extension and the website under these terms. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to you.

6. Availability and changes to Prysly

Prysly is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, suspend or stop all or part of Prysly (for example a store, when its pages can no longer be read) at any time. We try to keep Prysly running but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have, or any liability we have, that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 where it applies, and nothing limits liability for our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Subject to that:

You indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of section 4, to the extent the law allows.

8. Privacy

How we handle information is explained in our privacy policy and cookies and storage page.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Subject to any right you have under consumer law to approach another forum, the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction over any dispute about Prysly. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and applies from that date. If you keep using Prysly after a change, you accept the new terms; if you don't, please remove the extension.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms: privacy@prysly.co.za. Our full details, as required by section 43 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, are on the contact page.
