Affiliate disclosure

Prysly is free. To pay for it, some of the store links in the Prysly card are affiliate links: if you click one and then buy something, the store (or its affiliate network) may pay Luciatech (Pty) Ltd, trading as Prysly, a commission. This page explains exactly how that works. We call it our fair-play affiliate promise.

The fair-play promise

  1. Only when you click a Prysly link. A commission can only come from a link inside the Prysly card that you choose to click. Prysly earns nothing from you just browsing, and nothing from links that aren't in the card.
  2. No extra cost. The price you pay at the store is the same whether or not you arrived through a Prysly link. Any commission is paid by the store, not by you.
  3. We never overwrite other links. Prysly does not change, rewrite or redirect any link on the store's page or on any other website, and it does not touch cookies. It only adds its own card, and only the links in that card go through Prysly.
  4. Cheapest first, always. Offers are ranked by total price, including delivery. A more expensive offer is never shown above a cheaper one. Whether a store pays us only matters when two offers cost exactly the same in total: then the affiliate offer is listed first.
  5. Every store competes. Stores that don't pay us are shown just like stores that do, and an offer is only shown when it is cheaper in total than the product you're looking at.
  6. Verdicts aren't for sale. The verdict (Real deal, Normal price, Inflated 'was' price) comes from fixed rules applied to recorded prices. Affiliate relationships play no part in it.
  7. Always disclosed. Store links in the card may include affiliate links; when a store pays us a commission, the offer is labelled.

How to tell an affiliate link

What happens when you click

Your browser opens the Prysly server's link (/v1/go/…), which records the click (product listing, store, time, whether it was an affiliate link, and whether it was a repeat click) and sends you straight on to the store. If the store has an active programme, you are sent through the store's or network's affiliate address, with a click reference number (where the programme supports one) so commissions can be matched to clicks. That reference identifies the click, not you. The redirect tells the browser not to pass on which page you came from. See our privacy policy for what is kept and for how long.

When you arrive, the store or its affiliate network may set its own cookies to credit the click, under its own privacy policy. If you earlier reached the store through someone else's link and then click a Prysly link, the store's or network's own rules decide which click is credited.

Who we work with

We apply to affiliate programmes run by the supported stores or by affiliate networks. Which stores have an active programme changes over time. Prysly is independent, and having an affiliate programme with a store does not mean the store endorses Prysly, or that we endorse the store.
